About

Dr. Alkhasoneh is a professor of meteorology/climatology at the University of Jordan, Department of Geography. She holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences, with a dissertation focused on “Drought and Climate Change in Jordan: A Comprehensive Analysis Using CORDEX Regional Climate Model Simulations." Her research interests span climate modeling, climate change impacts, natural hazards, and land cover–atmosphere interactions, with a focus on how regional atmospheric dynamics influence environmental and societal outcomes. Dr. Alkhasoneh is an active member of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the European Geosciences Union (EGU), and the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
